We stayed here for 9 nights with our two year old daughter. The hotel was ok and we really have nothing negative to say about it. The hotel is nicely designed, clean, and well laid out. We had a double superior on the fourth floor facing the pool and the water. As another reviewer mentioned, the rooms do all face the Hotel Eden so that you have to look to the far right to enjoy the view. There is a huge sliding door to the balcony which was quite large with two chairs and a table.
There is a lot of storage room in the room which was more than sufficient for all of our belongings to be completely stored away. The bathroom was large with modern fixtures and had both a shower and bathtub but the tiles and the shower door showed some wear and tear but this didn't bother us.
The room itself was roomy and well laid out. The mini bar fridge and the air conditioning were both very quiet. I never heard any noise from the other rooms on either side of us. The carpet in the room was a bit dirty but only a small portion of the floor is covered in carpet, the rest is wood.
Sleeping with the balcony door was a problem because of the traffic (mainly mopeds) on the two streets below. Also, a street cleaner comes by very early every morning which is very loud and one night there was some party noise from the pool area at the Hotel Eden.
The pool was a little too cold for swimming and, as a result, was never full. As another reviewer stated, there is an ugly buidling next to the pool that is camouflaged with a row of bamboo trees, but the atmosphere is ok. The hotel is only one block away from the beach but due to the construction at the time, was dirty and loud.
The reception staff and breakfast staff were courteous, efficient, helpful and spoke english and german very well. There was a large choice at breakfast but it got boring after a couple of days because, other than the sweet and savory things, it never changed. There was always an empty table available and the food was replenished quickly. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was ok - nothing spectacular.
We stayed mid-October which is pretty much end of the season and was nice because the hotel didn't seem full. We were walk-up guests as our original choice of hotel wasn't to our satisfactory and paid an average of 170Euros per night. The regular room price is 220Euros which I don't think I would pay for this hotel. Perhaps this is the going rate for hotels of this class on Mallorca or in Soller but I think 220Euros is overpriced.
Overall a good stay.
