This must be one of the nicest hotels I have ever seen. It is in the country about 5 minutes by taxi from Pollenca town. Originally a Jesuit monastery, it has been very sensitively converted into a hotel. Our room was stunning; it had three huge windows overlooking the countryside - so it was full of light. The room was very stylishly fitted out and the bathroom was enormous with a jacuzzi bath and a huge walk in shower and the best bath products that I have ever come across in a hotel (they are locally made with herbs and they are gorgeous).
There is a very relaxed feel; two pools (a smallish heated pool which is mainly indoor and a huge outdoor pool with lovely views across the local area). There are oodles of sun beds so there is never any pressure to find a place to lie in the sun.
The food is superb. Breakfast offers a really well chosen selection of fruit, cereals, local charcuterie and cheeses and a scrumptious range of home made bread (perfect for making pan amb oli); a cooked breakfast is also on offer which is made to order but we were so pleased with the cold selection that we did not even think to order it.
We had dinner there with friends on just one evening. I am amazed at the unfavourable reviews below because our dinner was delicious. There were lots of things on the menu that I should like to have tried but, ultimately, I opted for raviloli made with cheek and oxtail for starter (which was incredibly tasty) and a really well made rice dish made with rockfish and langoustines which I loved. We were celebrating a friend's birthday so the hotel made a mouth watering chocolate mousse cake which had us all licking our lips!
I want to go back again - and soon!
