“Disappointing g !”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2011

The Guide Michelin had an attractive description, so we made a reservation.
Reception staff was very friendly, the twin room was spacious and stylishly furnished. There was free Wlan in the room. That is what I can say as positive.
The worst: toilet a n d bed had "leftovers" from the previous guest !
The restaurant is not as good as the menu promisses, the portions minuscule.
A bit of a tourist trap. Only time that I was disappointed on my France trip.

“Over-priced and old”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2011

The hotel is in a lovely old building but the hotel itself is just old. Everything from the wooden floors, to the furniture is old, but not the charming type of old. The doors are the original doors with the big old keyholes that all the noise goes through.
We asked for a quiet room and they put us over the terrace where everyone sits outside to have dinner.
The breakfast was quite expensive considering we get a plain yoghurt, 3 mini pastries and a piece of bread.
The hotel does have a nice garden and pool and is well located in the cute village of Sommieres.

“loved this hotel - lots of charm great food, relaxing....”

What a find! First of all we were welcomed by the 'grand-mere' herself, who used to own this place, now it is her sons who run it and even better, are fantastic chefs (especially if you like chocolate)! This place is charming. The bedrooms are simple but charming with stone walls, wooden beams large windows and all mod cons. Lovely garden with pool and comfortable sun loungers, excellent restaurant. We dined outside on the menu gourmande which was outstanding with excellent and well priced local wines to complement. Good service too. Excellent location in lovely village - well worth a wonder around. Parking onsite. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, just wish it was for longer!

Room Tip: We had a river view - with window open frogs croak

“A very nice place to stay”

This is our usual spot for a stop-over on the way down. Nice setting, very friendly owners and staff. The perfect spot to relax near the swimming pool or in the garden. Every year changes are made and the rooms are upgraded little by little by the owners themselves. PLace to recommend !!!
And the food very good price/quality! Especially the desserts :)!

2 nights of luxury, with a very friendly and charming staff made our stay a joy. Old town with good walking tours of castle being renovated, roman bridge still carrying motor traffic 2000 years later. Food was fantastic!
