This is our usual spot for a stop-over on the way down. Nice setting, very friendly owners and staff. The perfect spot to relax near the swimming pool or in the garden. Every year changes are made and the rooms are upgraded little by little by the owners themselves. PLace to recommend !!!
And the food very good price/quality! Especially the desserts :)!

2 nights of luxury, with a very friendly and charming staff made our stay a joy. Old town with good walking tours of castle being renovated, roman bridge still carrying motor traffic 2000 years later. Food was fantastic!

We were driving from Marseille back to Barcelona staying in different villages/hotels on route. We had previously picked up the Relaix Chatteaux book and found this hotel in it. The write up seemed perfect - overlooking the river in the historic village etc etc.
However when we were shown to our room down a very long dark dismal corridor it did not look promising. Once inside our room we just felt depressed, it was a HUGE room with very sparse basic furniture, at the back of a room was a very dated tiny bathroom, complete with peeling horrible wallpaper.
This hotel needs modernising in a big way it is an old building right on the road which used to be a carpet factory and it still feels very factory like.
We were very disappointed because it wasn't cheap at 115 euros per night room only, but the good thing was the village was lovely medieval historic town which was lovely - very quaint - we would just recommend you stay somewhere else.
