My husband and i spent one night at De Hoek and it felt as relaxing as a long weekend!
Everything was taken care of, we never had a moment of frustration... only relaxation!!

I would highly recommended a Thai Yoga massage... my husband and I both booked a 1/2 hour head, neck and back massage and it really helped to shed the stresses of the week!

We stayed a two night weekend, it was amazing. Henry the assistant manager went out of his way to look after us. The five course diner was a real treat. Expensive but really made with love and worth it.
We felt completely relaxed after being there in the first hour after our arrival..something we needed for a good relax and this was perfect.

This really is a beautiful place to stay - the buildings, rooms, food, service and location are of very high standard. We arrived in the early afternoon, and though lunch is not normally served, the kitchen staff provided us with a light, tasty meal - served at a table set up for us under the trees by the pool. The candlelight dinner was one of the best we had in South Africa, and when we returned to our room we found that a hot bubble bath, strewn with rose petals, awaited us. Breakfast next morning was on the terrace, overlooking the perfectly manicured gardens. We were the only guests, and were made to feel truly like the lord and lady of the manor.

De Hoek deserves the highest possible accolades. It is luxurious, cosy and well-appointed in every way. The hotel is hidden away in a most beautiful and peaceful setting. The staff were courteous and helpful whilst remaining discreet. The food at De Hoek is an experience. The menu is well thought out and the food exquisitely prepared. We found De Hoek by chance and it afforded us an opportunity to unwind and relax whilst enjoying service of the highest order. We'll be back!
