I just returned from a one night stay at the Magnolia Gardens Inn when my two daughters (9 and 12) and I were passing through Springdale. Our experience couldn't have been better!
When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the hospitible Manager and shown around the BEAUTIFUL gardens and inn. Because the pictures I had seen showed the beauty of the antiques and the garden, I was afraid that it might be a bit too elegant and stuffy for my children. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager encouraged us to make ourselves at home and showed us all of the fun things the girls could do....swim in the small pool, wade in the creek, look for tadpoles, baby ducks and the creek's resident muskrat, swing under the gigantic trees and enjoy the gardens.
Our rooms were beautifully decorated, but very comfortable as well. We slept in the combination library and parlor. The library has no windows, so it was like sleeping in a cozy cave. The morning sun shines into the parlor, but the light didn't seem to bother my daughter. The shower was great and the murphy beds were very comfortable.
The breakfast was delicious and we loved being served in the sunroom overlooking the fountains and many surrounding flowers.
After breakfast we had the priveledge of spending some time with the owner. She was amazingly loving and friendly to each of us, engaging the girls in conversation and showing them more of the special nuances of the inn and surroundings. Her joy and kindness really made our visit extra special.
As we were leaving, my daughter said, "I don't want to leave Mom...I LOVE it here!"
We would all highly recommend the Magnolia Gardens Inn to anyone.
