We feel so very lucky to have found Moravsko Village Hotel! Because we aren't really the pub-drink-dance kind of people on our holidays we we're trying really hard to find something that was a little more excluded than being in the midst of tourists.
We found it, and it was even so much better than we expected.
Svilen picked us up from the airport and brought us to the skilifts everyday! The food there is delicious and the family is so sweet. Svilen actually does speak very good english and provided us with everything we wished for. We were lucky with the weather because the whole place was like a white fairytale land.

If you're looking for a quiet, pretty and friendly atmosphere this is the place to go!

Important to allow plenty of time to get there - some of the roads are tortuous and Bulgaria is a big country. I arrived late and my room had been re-let. Owner very efficiently found me somewhere else at same price. Had a meal there which was excellent. The place looked very nice, and the owners were very frlendly.

We stayed one night with Svilen in March 2006, we were supposed to stay two, but Frankfurt airport had been closed to snow and we arrived late. It does take some finding and at one point I was convinced that I was heading for nowhere, but persevere and it's worth it. As you enter, it's such a warm and hospitable environment and Svilen is such a nice bloke.
We didn't have time to dine there, because we needed to get into Bansko to check it out (we were buying an apartment) but Svilen insisted we have a snack and a drink before we set off, and he then drove us there. When we got back later, he had another drink waiting for us - we're only sorry we couldn't stay longer. Room was fine - slight problem with Hot Water but I've since read that if you leave it run, then it's fine.
If you want to avoid the tourist traps, I'm confident you'll have a great time - I intend going out there for a meal next time I'm in Bansko

If you look for luxories (spa, gym etc.), then forget about this hotel... If you look for the real meaning of hospitality and friendly atmosphaire then yes, Svi and his wife Tedy will do the best for you!!! We have booked an apartment for two nights and we hardly manage to find this place as it is about 1km from the main road but believe me it worthed! Svi's family was running the place an although their English were poor their manners and their smile could make you understand them! Even if you do not book a room or an apartment there (there are only 12), you have to visit the hotel's tavern (mechana in Bulgarian) where Svi's mother cooks delicious dishes!!! All the incridients are coming from the farm of the hotel! During winter time you can enjoy skiing at the slopes of Pirin mountain and as Svi told us when the weather will become better he will organise mountain bike raids and rafting. You can also fish in the lake near the hotel. I don't want to advertise the place more you have to find out youreselves!
