“very good hotel”

Stayed at this hotel fron 28/01/12 to 4/02/12 and was very happy with all aspects of our stay.
If I was to find any fault it would be that in the spa it could become very noisy with children which dosent allow full relaxation, but this would not stop me from going back.
We found ALL members of staff both helpfull and polite, never did we encounter rudeness from anyone.
We were there on a B&B basis and found the food to be of a very good standard,Certainly better than that of the big hotel in Borovets that we have stayed in.
The room was great with a large double bed a luxurious bathroom, flatscreen tv,minibar and was always cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis, and the turn down service was a nice touch too.
Having priority vip access to the lift queue was also a major advantage as the wait could be up to an hour.
Thanks to all the staff including Martin in the boot room whos help was much needed, and we will be back next year.

Dear Madam/Sir,

Allow us to say a big thank you for choosing to stay with us at Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko.
It is a great pleasure to read your positive marks on our hotel especially about our services and VIP ski pass that we are all very proud of.
Your opinion is very important for us and we are feeling delighted with your comment.
I have taken the liberty to pass on your compliments to the colleagues and in the same time, I am returning their best regards and thanks to you.
Considering your spa experience we need to admit that the children are important part of our hotel. We are constantly trying to ensure and combine our customer’s relaxation in the spa area and the happiness of our small guests. Their smiles and games ensure the sunny feeling in our property.

“Well worth every penny.”

We have just returned from a wonderful weeks stay at THE KEMPINSKI GRAND ARENA HOTEL, Bansko.
We as a family Could only find 1 fault and that was that our 11year old son was on a sofa bed that had a terribly thin matress & wobbly legs which was very uncomfortable & we had to put pillows under him to sleep on! There would be more than enough room for a proper single bed in the room.
Apart from this everything about the hotel was lovely.
The Spa is amazing & all the staff are courteous, professional and friendly.
The location of the hotel couldn't be more convenient for skiing and the ski room was a godsend!!
We will be returning for another week of bliss!

Dear Madam / Sir,

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion on our hotel.
We regret to read the problems regarding the sofa bed. For your next stay please request one of our roll-a-way beds and I am sure the pillow will be only used underneath the head!

We are looking forward to welcoming you back many more times.

“Only few things to be excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Just got back from winter holyday in Bansko, hotel Kempinski. This hotel has an excellent location in Bansko, since it has direct access to the slope and the cabin lift. Ski-lovers can enjoy the privilidge with the VIP ski-pass to jump over the queue.
Spa area is clean wth variety contents: pool (in&out), jakuzzi (in and out), hamam and many saunas. The special enjoyment is to be into out-door jakuzzi surraunded with snow under the bright stars-shine sky in the late afternoon. The spa area is opened untill 21:30. The staff in this area is quiet, but very fiendly and serviceable, which can't be sayed for the staff in lobby bar. The management of the hotel should train them how to attitude and serve the guests. If you order coffee with a glass of water (traditional Balkan drink), the weitress will bring you a bottle of packed water, which is stuped having in mind that you are on Pirin mountain and the tap-water is fresh since it's from this mountain. Or that openning the tea-pot many times to check if you've finished your tea while sitting and relaxing with your friends, is very unpolite and unmannerly.
With work on these small remarks to be overcome, I hope that Kempinski can deserve its name.

Room Tip: always ask for mountain view room

Dear Madam/Sir,

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion about our hotel.

We are happy to learn that you are satisfied with the excellent location of our hotel,
all special arrangements offered only for Kempinski guests in the Ski Resort, and our SPA facilities with especially attentive service provided in that area.
Regarding our Bar services we highly appreciate your constructive feedback.
For your kind information, we constantly organise training on international standards of service for all of our staff.
It is indeed part of our standards to serve bottled Mineral Water unless our guests wish to not have bottled water.
Furthermore, we strive to ensure that there is at all times beverage available on the table to be enjoyed by our valuable guests like your good self.
Once again, thank you so much for this first hand information which will help us to fine tune our services according to your expectations.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back again and ensure you with a wonderful ‘Kempinski Experience’.

Best Regards

“Kempinski & Bansko”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Just got back from a break in Bansko. Snow has arrived and therefore good ski conditions.
From the moment we got off the coach and the other holiday makers said "wow you are lucky, this place looks posh!" We realised we had made a good choice.

Reviews regarding staff being unfriendly, I think people are just being picky. They all went out of their way in order to help. However, within resort please and thank you are not words you hear often!

Lots of little extras which I wouldn't want to share in order to spoil your own adventure!

Boot room is down stairs from reception and opens onto the slopes. Just walk across and you are at the lift. The queues for the gondola are ridiculous. The VIP pass from Kemplinski is a blessing. I wouldn't stay in another hotel in Bansko for this reason.

My only issue with the holiday (which is not Kempinski but the tour operator.) Kempinski does not charge for children under a certain age staying within a room. Therefore they are on a camp bed. The tour operator does however charge for the child to go. This is not just the flight etc, it was for the hotel. So maybe Kempinski need to be aware of this also!

Room Tip: Rooms are very warm! Windows and radiators are hidden behind the very thick curtains.
