“What a great hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I used to stay at the Hampton Inn in North Little Rock, but now it's a no longer a Hampton. I decided to try out the Holiday Inn. What a great place. The staff was engaging and friendly, room was clean and the food at Bogies was just what I was looking for....I wish I would have considered this place sooner.

“What a delight...would definately stay again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

So yes, the property is older, but the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the hotel & the service received made up for that little fact. We arrived to a friendly greeting from Sloan, who has a spendid outgoing personality and answered our questions about the convention center we were to be working in for 5 days as well as locations of a few businesses we needed. Everything was in working order in our room including the flat screen TV, air conditioning & Internet service. The elevator did have to be reset one night when we were returning late one night, but that was a very quick fix. We were flying out at the end of our work week and Renee gave us information about leaving our van in their parking lot for a week (which was a complimentary service). On the first evening we had met Heather, night security (& shuttle driver) who was an absolute delight to talk with & made sure our van had a safe stay while we were away. The hotel even sent out the shuttle to pick up my husband at the airport on his return to Little Rock, to pick up our van. Thank you to all at this hotel property...when we return to Little Rock, we plan on staying here again.

“Very Old”

This was OK for the one night we stayed, however I would not want to stay any longer. The hotel is very old and has not been updated/remodeled in a long time. Carpets have seen better days, and AC worked only intermittently.

“Restaurant AWESOME, hotel BAD”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2010

I called to make a reservation at the hotel itself, as I was driving my son back to the Little Rock Airport for a flight back to Afghanistan (where he is deployed) and needed to stay the night to clear up some business. I spoke with Dena, who was extremely rude while taking my reservation. She was very brusque and rushed through the process, almost like she couldn't be bothered to waste her time on me.
When I arrived at the hotel, my reservation could not be found, as Dena did not spell my name correctly in the computer, even though I gave it to her 3 times.
I arrived at the hotel and spoke to the manager, who became very defensive and protective of his employee, which only worsened the situation and my mood.
The hotel itself is nicely furnished and clean. The bed in my room was very hard, and the toilet stopped up several times.
The bright spot of this experience was the hotel restaurant, Bogie's. The ladies working in there were absolutely awesome, very friendly and funny. The food was great, and the restaurant was spotless.
If you're ever in North Little Rock, Bogie's is the place to eat. The hotel? Not so much.

“Holiday Inn Needs To Take Away Their Franchise From This Hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2010

The issues/problems during our 3 day stay were numerous, starting with non-existent internet access (it finally came online the day we left) and ending with the cook getting drunk and not showing up for work on Saturday morning, forcing the waitresses to actually cook the breakfasts they were taking orders for. One of the two elevators was in serious danger of freezing between floors the entire time. Late on the 2nd night the cable TV in our room went out and stayed out the remainder of our stay. And then there was the matter of the restaurant only being open for breakfast & dinner, and the very blatant prostitution ring being run out of the bar attached to the hotel. Word to the wise: do NOT walk around outside the hotel after dark. The Budgetel next door is full of junkies & meth freaks (we watched the cops haul away a few the first day we were there). We would have left after the first night, except that every reasonably priced hotel in town was booked solid because of some high school reunion.
