This property was once a Holiday Inn in its prime. It is now on a path to a slow death that will probably end up in demolision. As advertised below by the manager, this is a budget hotel. What is "scary" about this hotel is that it probably has in excess of 300 rooms, yet, there were never more than 25 or 30 cars in the parking lot. It is a wierd feeling to see no one around when you walk through the parking lot and to your room. As stated below, there are evidence of roaches on the property. When I walked into the room, it smelled like it was recently sprayed for roaches and I found dead near the door after the first night. That was the only siting of roaches. The rooms are clean as advertised. The furnishings are old but functional. The linens are old and stained, but clean. The bathroom was very clean. The carpet is old and will turn your feet or socks black in no time. The WIFI worked fine. As advertised, there is a beautiful indoor pool. The downside is that there was a note at the front desk that stated "the pool is not heated today" all five days I was at the hotel. Even if the pool was heated, management never turned the heating on in the indoor holidome area. As a result, it was impossible to utilize any of the recreation ameminities. Overall, if you are a budget minded individual, this property will suit you fine. If you expect anything of an upgraded property, you should not stay here. My biggest problem was how large the property was and returning in the evening to a large hotel that was virtually empty. This is just me, but I have a problem when an entire floor is not even used. It is clear that the third floor of the hotel is not utilized. Makes you wonder what is up there. Are there leaks? Mold? etc. It does appear that this hotel was once a jewel; however, the old girl is going downhill fast and I don't see a bright future for this property.
