Mark, the owner and host, provides a comfortable place in a quiet mountain retreat. He serves a wonderful breakfast and had a fire for the cold night we shared. The Inn dates from the late 1800's, but has all of the amenities modern travelers like and is well maintained. Nothing like a rocking chair on a front porch to share with new friends.

This B&B is located near the center of the town, close to antique stores and the free evening entertainment by various folk groups. The breakfast was scratch cooked, tasty, more than we could eat. Our room was well appointed. One bed was a bit hard, otherwise we were very comfortable. Highly recommended!

So I can't believe that I forgot to review this place! Its Amazing! My husband and I decided to check this place out, and stay here for a weekend. We camp in the Mtn. View area all the time, but have never stayed in town, and also I had been wanting to stay in a B&B. Our room was great! Hubby thought it was a touch too frilly, but I loved it!!! We were in a corner room with a view of the back yard, right by the pond. We opened our windows at night and got the cool night breezes and listened to the waterfall trickle all night long! We slept great!! Breakfast was fantastic!! Every thing you could ever want for breakfast, but the fresh fruit salad was my favorite!! The outside temps were just a bit chilly when we stayed here, and when we came in every evening it was so nice to have the tea station in the sun room! That was one of the most special touches.... Although, I felt like The Nelsons did everything they could to make every thing special!! I can't wait to stay here again!!

Stayed at the Inn on an overnight fishing trip to the White River. I'll be honest, there are not many places in that end of the world to stay and this would by far beat out any of the competition in price, location, service and quietness. We will be returning!
