The view of the lake and the serenity is absolutely outstanding. The cabins are old, funky, rusty, and in need of repair and our cabin could have used some new beds. Except for the flat screen tv, you would think it was the 1950's. Early October our weather was divine most of the time and we came for the Big Crystal Dig and Quartz and Quilt Show. Don't expect to find a computer in the lobby--everything is still done by hand here. Especially the pies in the cafe which are OUTSTANDING....don't miss the Dutch Apple. The staff was cordial but not particularly friendly or happy. And if you want housekeeping, expect to do it yourself. We had an annoying fly problem in the room--at least 10 or more dive bombing us at all times. Although "rough", the cabin is spacious and you cannot beat the view here--especially morning coffee on the lake.
