The location is incredible. The fishing can be exceptional depending on the weather, the water generation, the guide, and of course, the fish!
The rooms are clean, but very much need updating.
The service is very good and the office people are extremely friendly.
The big downfall is the restaurant....the decor is wonderful with tons of old antique things hanging everywhere, including from the ceiling. The service is fair at best. But the real disappointment is the food and the outrageous prices. I realize they are the only game around, but they don't have to charge the exorbitant rates. Especially, not for the quality of food they are serving! Would I go back? Only to fish if they're biting!

My wife and I loved this place. We will definitively stay here again when we pass through. The front desk person was warm friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. It had a warm romantic atmosphere. I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends.

Flew in for Sunday brunch. Glorified bacon and eggs buffet, $17. Nice place but eat down the street. V

There is nothing quite like Gastons. You will feel like family by the time you leave. The people are great, the River is spectacular and the food was wonderful. Oooo
