We stayed at Hooked for 3 weeks. Best beach for surfing right on your doorstep and town close by. Great experience driving the scooters. Thanks guys and see you next year. Say Hi to the dogs.

I stayed at Hooked Cabarete together with one friend in May this year. We had a perfect holiday! The accommodation was good! We stayed in a nice, clean and big room with a private terrace with hammock, and just 5 steps further, on the green field with palm trees, a lovely swimming pool! The couple managing the place were very friendly, and organized a lot of things, like BBQ's, trips to the paradise beaches and canyoning. The surf beach was just a short walk away and the waves were perfect!! It was definitely the best surf holiday ever!!!

My Husband, my brother and I stayed at Hooked for 10 days for our Anniversary. From the minute we got to this beautiful Oasis to the day we left Nino, Frieda and the staff at the hotel made us feel home away from home. The walk to the Playa Encuentro its only about 10 minutes, its a beautiful walk and Playa Encuentro had waves every day we were there. We loved the surf and the people at the surfboard shack as well. Dominican's are very warm people. The food its absolutely great. We rented a car so we can drive to the city of Cabarete. We will definitely make Cabarete another surf spot in our travels and will not anywhere else but Hooked Cabarete! Lastly but not least, Bill and Sita were always coming to our patio for a visit and we loved that very much....

Nino and Freido did such a great job helping me and the other guests feel comfortable that we could really forget all of our cares and enjoy all that Cabarete has to offer. The atmosphere at Hooked was active and social...for example, we all joined together for a family style barbque one night and tried several activities together like snorkeling, hiking,and paddle boarding.

Nino and Frieda have great recommendations for cafes for breakfast, markets for fruits and groceries, and restaurants for dinners. Options in Cabarete seemed to be flowing and open.

Traveling solo to Hooked, I was OK with jumping on the back of a motoconcho for the 7km ride in to town, but when I return with my wife and 3 year old son, I will rent a car. The two other couples at the hotel rented cars, so it is probably a popular decision there for groups of two or more since the hotel is a little removed from the main road and main strip downtown.

Two large dogs on the property are extremely friendly but can surprise you!
