“Unique Gem of a Hotel!”

What's NOT to love about this hotel??It's an absolute gem with cozy beautiful cabana's situated so close to the ocean that you feel and hear the sounds from the beach at any moment in time. The asian-morrocan influenced decor coupled with the warm inviting atmosphere of the DR is what makes this boutique hotel so unique and incredibly beautiful. The food was so delectable that we ate at the resorts restaurant 4/5 days spent there (and we fancy ourselves as "foodies"). The yoga studio is a beautiful indoor/outdoor building which faces the ocean and offers a peaceful place for students to practice their yoga under the guidance of a wonderful yoga instructor. All of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This was THE perfect spot for us!

This spot is quiet and sweet to look at. It's simple in many ways (no t.v., no noise, no wifi except in designated areas), the food is great (dinner) and you won't walk away from the experience feeling like it wasn't worth it if you can afford it. We had problems with the water turning off in our cabana and the water not getting hot enough, it was our 2nd to last night before they offered another cabana.
They have connections with several surf schools but we used one not on there list which I highly recommend: CHINO'S SURF SCHOOL- all local, all friendly, all good. Chino'c is right next to the rest of the schools but by far the least flashy and most attentive.

Spa: for someone wo gets massages every week- i would say don't waste your time in the DR looking for that deep tissue/swedish yummy situation. Its pretty fluffy and made me more frustrated than relaxed. The exfoliation was nice. The sauna was not hot.

Cooking In?- the place is really not made to let you cook in. we are pretty strict with our diet and like cooking but there just was so little to cook with. Ask the receptionist for all the pots and pans, salt, pepper, spatula, whatever you might need and they will try to accomodate.

Eat out?- just walk from the cabana to the hut. you won't be disappointed, great food here.

“Great relaxing retreat”

I justed returned from my New Years Eve trip and Natura Cabana was an excellent choice for a Cabarete vacation. Its a stones throw from the center of town where all the night life is happening right on the beach. I stayed in the Piedra Cabana- extemely close to the private beach and restaurant. Lots of character and charm! The food is excellent and I highly recommend having dinner there a few nights. It's short ride to Cabarete, where you will also find great dinner choices! Everyone at Natura is helpful especially Jairo at the front desk. He has great recommendations for activities and even arranged for the group to go see a baseball game in Santiago. If you are looking to get away from your hectic life for a while-this is the right choice.

“Paradise Found!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

In between two noisy towns, skanky Sosua and surf-city Cabarete, is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Ten cabanas built to blend with the tropical forest and a stone's throw from its own beach. Combined with service that is personal, two restaurants that pride themselves on fine cuisine, a spa and a yoga center and you have paradise with a mission -- relax!! We are not spa people and I personally cannot watch yoga without laughing, far less participate. But in this place I could feel stress coming off me that I didn't know I had. We all claimed long nights of restful sleep on fine mattresses. At first I was apprehensive about the absence of air conditioning, but the nights were cool and sound of the surf was hypnotic. It was October so I can't say conditions would be the same all year. During the day the front desk helped us with the lay of the land, local attractions and a rental car. We took in The Monkey Jungle and a restaurant called Simply Red which I am also reviewing favorably. To me the details made this place special: The almonds that fell from the shade trees were dried, sliced and roasted to dress the fresh fruit. The windows were framed with spiral shells. The stone-lined pool was cleaned of debris in between my daughter's splash sessions. And, quite purposefully, you can only get wi-fi in the reception area. When I saw my nine-year-old reading a book in the hammock I knew this was no ordinary hotel. I would recommend this place to the stressed out and overworked who finally admit to needing a break.

Room Tip: The Caribe cabana is in front of the pool and has its own access to reception. The front desk actua...
