We went to Cabarete from Wed - Saturday and really enjoyed staying at Villa Taina! It was in a perfect location in town, beach front towards the end of the "strip" of restaurants/bar/clubs - which was nice after we were done dining or drinking, we could easily stroll back to our room under the stars while listening to the sound of the waves...

The room was perfect for us! Very clean, i mean very clean. The beds were pretty comfortable, the balcony faced the ocean that had a nice view day & night. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay... the breakfast was inclued in our price and it had many good options, including fresh juices and omlette/egg station :)

We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel the local flavor, doesn't want to be in a busy resort, but wants the ease of being in a hotel.

ENJOY CABARETE @ Villa Taina!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on November and had a great time. The hotel is in the middle of town but if you stay on the ocean side, then the rooms face the ocean and you cannot hear the town. The room was on the third floor and we had a balcony overlooking the pool and looking out to sea. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I have been to most of the Caribbean, all over Asia, to many many beaches and I would definitely come back here. We did not eat so much at the restaurant or the bar but both looked fine. The staff here is super sweet and helpful.

This Hotel is perfectly situated on Caberete beach if you are looking for Waves and wind to surf, Kite and paddle board. It is owned by a German family, who are very friendly and all spoke perfect English. The bar and Restaurant staff were absolutely amazing and seemed to be locals, most had good English. It was my husbands 50th when we were there and they secretly decorated the table with flowers and balloons, plus the Chef baked a massive Birthday cake.The head waitor, Mario, organised for some musicians to play"Happy Birthday". I have Coeliac's disease and also Lactose intollerant, but the restaurant catered for me really well as each night the food is cooked to order, no stale buffets in sight! Make sure you book a standard ocean view room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Air con worked very well. Mozzies come out in force at night so cover the legs. Vendors on the beach were a bit of a pain, but a stern "No" usually worked. Most were very friendly and every day at 2pm we had fresh Mango for lunch. We would definately book this Hotel again, missing them all already!!

Located at the west end of Cabarete 2 mins walk from all the clubs restaurants & bars.

This recommendation was certainly spot on, modern & clean with great air-con, reasonably priced with a small pool. The hotel accesses directly onto the beach at the rear.

We stayed in room 401 on the 4th floor of the new block, fantastic room with great views & a sun terrace.

Breakfast in the beach restaurant was lovely, one of the best of our holiday in the DR.

Villa Taina was a great base for the last 2 nights of our holiday.

Located within 20mins drive of Puerto Plata airport.

Not sure why we had to leave a $50 deposit when we prepaid at checkin, we don't steal towels! This alone is the reason for the downgrade from Excellent!
