“Much needed R&R”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

Azalea is a wonderful place to stay. The inside of the cabin was nicely decorated and was very cozy; we felt at home. The outside had a wrap around deck overlooking the bluff. The birds chirping, the racoons visiting in the night was great! We walked on the trail to see the waterfalls but unfortunately, it was dry (but so was the Buffalo River). It was a very nice visit and the owners were very helpful.

“A Private "Slice of Heaven"...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2009

Planned a last-minute "weekend getaway" close to home and decided to head down to the Buffalo River area. Luckily the Lodge was available.

We had a secluded quiet retreat from our busy lives. Enjoyed the beauty of the area, the wildlife, the closeness to great hiking and the Buffalo, etc. Very clean, comfortable and enjoyable. Nothing like grilling steaks, drinking wine and sitting on the deck enjoying your own private waterfall. Beware that the Lodge is located on a steep gravel road - we were fine in our SUV, but lower to the ground cars might have issues. We plan to go back!

“Lovely Place to Stay Near the Buffalo River”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2008

We stayed at Azalea Falls Lodge in mid June - There were six of us and the Azalea Falls Lodge was a great choice. Three bedrooms, lovely kitchen, antiques everywhere. It was several steps above the normal cobin rental. Decks that looked out into the woods and out onto a waterfall. It wasn't wildly kid friendly - I worried some of the lovely antiques might get broken - thank heavens they never did. Master bedroom was huge with sitting area and sliding glass doors out onto the deck. Two other bedrooms, one fairly small. Kitchen had everything we needed including a bottle of champagne in the fridge! The owners were very helpful and seemed to be always available if we needed them. Nothing like getting up early, sitting on the deck and listening to the birds and the waterfall. At night, raccoons were regular visitors to the deck. I would go back in a heartbeat! Azalea falls was great.

  • Liked — Loved the waterfall
  • Disliked — Not enough time to sit and relax on the deck!
