I'll structure my review in terms of pros and cons.
Pros: The rooms in this hotel are actually pretty clean and nice, and the hotel staff were generally very helpful.
Cons: There are many. First, the hotel is not located anywhere near the Dargah (mosque), the main attraction in Ajmer, despite its claims to the contrary. I would estimate at least a 25-minute walk. Second, and this is for travelers who are planning to stay an extended amount of time, you will not receive a discount at this hotel as you might at any other establishment in India. I stayed for several weeks but was told that it would be impossible. Keep that in mind. Third, I did not have hot water for about 5-6 days. I tried to speak to the owner about this when I left to receive a small discount, but he initially refused and then only gave me a very tiny discount. I was extremely disappointed, considering I had given them weeks of business. Fourth, the hotel will claim that the clientèle are mainly business executives; however, the only customers I saw were college students who used to make noise until 2, often 3AM. This severely disrupted my sleep on numerous occasions, although the hotel did nothing about it.
Overall, there are a number of hotels in Ajmer closer to the Dargah which are cleaner, cheaper and nicer. I would recommend looking into them, and I'd stay away from Ajmeru.
