Stayed at Longcheng International Hotel for 2 nts. in mid-July, 2007.
The hotel ran out of non-smoking rooms, but promised to conduct their "non-smoking treatment" to the room for us. The standard was acceptable, but it was hard to expect such a new hotel (opened in Mar 2006) had such dirty carpet in the room. The carpet had a lot of stains, and there was a filthy-looking rug in front of the bathroom. If the room had a nice carpet and a cleaner-looking sofa, it could indeed have been quite a nice room.
Location was good, within walking distance to one of the coach station (from Datong/ Beijing).
Our room rate included one breakfast. The front receptionist only gave us one breakfast coupon for the first morning, and asked us to go to the reception again on the second morning for the second coupon. Breakfast/ person costs CNY58. Quality was just average.
We had dinner in their Tanjia Restaurant for both evenings as quality was very good.
