I agree with reviewer April 2006, "not sure if this hotel deserves 5 star", but it's an excellent 4-star chinese hotel.
Rooms are nice and clean. This hotel is located at 10 min walk from the main shopping area.
The swiming pool is large, clean, outside the hotel, but nearby a road and is old-fashioned.
There is a shuttle from the airport to the train station (15 renminbi). The train station is located at one end of the main shopping area, thus not really far from the hotel.
Note: the bus station (long distance) is not located at the railway station but well at the other side of the city.
If you hesitate between the Wharton and the MingYuan: the Wharton is probabty more expensive. This hotel is located nearby the business district thus far from the centre of the city. The surroundings are beautiful with a river and a park. The atmosphere is more international. The swiming pool is small.
