If you love nice hotels, don't go there! NEVER!
Of course I didn't book it myself, because if you look at the pictures on the website and you are used to Chinese hotels, you will understand immediately what it can be like. And facts proved me true!! And I will tell you why...
LOBBY: typical Chinese hotel lobby, want-to-be luxurious and very cheap.
CORRIDOR: an horrible smell attacks you as soon as you get out of the elevator...
ROOM: the smell gets a bit better, but opening the window will help as well... The bathroom is nothing special and not too clean. You have to pay for the Internet (in my opinion, they should pay me to stay, but well...). I didn't watch TV so I can't say anything about that. The only good thing was the bed, really hard (other reviewers hated it, but if you like hard beds it's nice) and I could at least have a good sleep.
BREAKFAST: REEEEEEEEAAALLY not a 5-Star breakfast, but you can still have some cereals...
RESTAURANT: now, I have to say, the restaurant was good. We had a business dinner in the evening and a lunch the day after (dinner, Chinese cuisine; lunch, Western) and both were very good. ...but you don't need to sleep there to enjoy the restaurant, am I wrong??
Finally, I rated the hotel "Terrible" because it's really not "Okay" for a 5 stars. I think it could be OK for a 3 stars, so they should get a new star rating, or renovate the hotel.
Another little thing: if you like "smashed" Chinese hotels (some people do, a colleague of mine loved the Mingyuan) that's your place to stay in Nanning!
