We spent two nights at the African Oceans Manor in August 2011 as a family. We arrived only shortly after 6pm and were surprised to only see the night-watchman. He guided us in the beach front house where we stayed in the honeymoon suite. It offered incredibly views as can be seen on the website. The room was very kitschy and seemed to be very much adjusted to meet the US style. To us, it all seemed a bit too much and although it was very modern and looked after, we did not feel welcome. And it was only upon check-out that we eventually met staff here in the main building where we had to pay our bill. However, I felt a bit like an intruder as there was no reception and we were sneaking in the small office to ask how to check-out (not 5 star like....). The breakfast was ok, you could get any kind of egg made freshly, but apart from that, there was not much choice. Apart from the very one view that can be seen from the website, don't look left or right as it spoils the picture. Overall quite pricy for what you get.
