“Perfect get away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

Situated in the lovely Diani Beach.... this place boasts of everything a perfect get away is composed of. The buffet breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners and everything else worth eating is awesome. Friendly staff... very friendly Monkeys if you feed them (which by the way you must not).... and of course the bustling sea is both your front and back yard. This place is awesome. My 2012 began here and I hope it ends here again becoz am definitely going back. Lovely White Sand.......

The resort is a trip from the Mombasa Moi International Airport but believe me its worth it. would highly recommend it for anyone looking for paradise in Africa..... and the get away of a life time.......

They have evening entertainment that will rock your world.... Kenya entertainment is off the chain.... u will dance all night.... and laugh ur brains out. Watch as people try to dance to African beats... while those who know how to work it to them beats... shake and twist.

This place is a must do.....!!!

“Great Vacation and Safari”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Finally getting around to posting my comments for a wonderful vacation with my Fiancé at Sentido Palm Beach and my 4 day 3 night Safari at the Kilima Camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve set up by Julius K. Nzumbi. The accomodations, food, and the staff at the Sentido were great. I would esepcially like to thank our room attendent Safari for placing a different flower arrangement on our bed every day. This brought a smile to my Fiance face every time we returned to our room. In addition to the vacation I also surprised my Fiance with an engagement ring while at Sentido and I would like to thank Herbert our waiter and all the other staff that contributed to making that night one we would remember for quite a while. I would also like to thank Julius K. Nzumbi for setting up our safari. At first I was a little worried, however, after looking at the reviews I decided to go with Mr. Julius K. Nzumbi. Once I made all the arrangements for the Safari I met with Julius the day of our arrival to iron out the details. Julius booked us at the Kiliama Camp which is located on a buff above the Masai Mara National Reserve and insisted that I only pay him half of the money up front and the other half when we returned if we were sastified. Needless to say I was totally sastified with the accomodations, food and staff at the Kilima Camp. In particular our guide Martian who could name every animal and flower that we came across. My Fiance and I had a wonderful time in Africa and we can not wait to go back.

“The fact I would return says it all!”

Just home from an amazing trip to kenya and we stayed at this hotel, very much better on the paradise side, the village side was quite noisy and not as clean.
day one the monkeys are very cute but due to idiotic travellers stealing stuff from the dining room by day 3 we were laughng at them getting 'mugged'- clearly the monkeys arent as stupid as the guests who encourage them!

I saaw a report that there was a problem with sandflies, i got ONE mozzie bite on the very last day, the aircon was good, the place immaculate, room servicing unobtrusive- the food choices good, albeit a tad repetitive.

the beach boys are very persistent and rather wearing but if you choose one of them and stick with him for the week the others get the hint.

Good tip is take lots of cheap socks, it is the best currency for bartering with ;)

Sterling is also way more useful but you do need shillings for tipping.

Wonderful holiday and fabulous beaches but have to say the bus that took us from the airport would never have passed any tests in the UK and getting the big vehicles on the ferry is quite alarming to say the least, dont sit at the back whatever you do, people would queue for hours at euro disney for the thrill of that particular white knuckle ride lol!

The fridge in our room didnt work but we didnt complain because we really didnt expect one, the bathroom was large and clean and there was always lots of hot water, wifi is a bit poor but you have to remember where you are and I was grateful we managed to get a few emails during the week.

Mombasa airport is a bit chaotic at arrivals, lots of waiting to be sent back to the start of a queue because you havent got a visa form etc but frankly the 45 min wait at Gatwick for our baggage on the return leg after a 10 hr flight before a 5 hour drive home was our biggest let down..........

Room Tip: make sure your room is near the pool as it is a sponsored walk from reception!!!!

“So much more than an incredible holiday”

The hotel was very good, clean and friendly and a very good service. It is right on the beach. It´s really a Paradise.

The restaurant was good. The waitering staff are very nice indeed, they just couldn´t do enough for you.

There are nice shops with genuine african handicraft situated on the left side of the beach from the hotel. Ask for Joe, a competent, very friendly seller. He will show you products like those on the pictures to take back home from your holiday as a memory from a wonderful country.

When it comes to book a safari, which was amazing, it is far cheaper to do it on the beach. We booked with Thomas. He is located on the beach in front of the hotel. Lodges were superb and the driver, called Nguta was brilliant, so knowledgeable and nothing was to much trouble for him.

Amazing white beach! The Indian Ozean Beautiful! Nice and friendly people! I´ll come back!

“Will not be returning”

We stayed here over the New Year period and although the price was reasonable for peak season and the pool area was lovely and clean, the rooms were below average. Towels are not changed every day, we had to beg for replacement towels, and the room was not cleaned properly. There were three of us sharing a room and it needed a good clean every day. The food was only ok, and out of the 4 nights, we enjoyed only one night of the all inclusive food. The a la carte restaurant food was much better. Also, with all inclusive, you expect water to be included... there were a couple of water pumps located around the resort, but bottled water was not included... neither were Dawas which is a local drink!

Room Tip: Double rooms are probably better than triple - as the sizes would be the same, just another bed sque...
