My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks in January 2011.We stayed all inclusive which on the face of it looked good value compared with the half board tariff. The first disappointment was the couldn't care less, surly attitude of the barstaff at the 'all inclusive bar' The drinks were 'thrown' into plastic glasses and, all but, thrown across the bar to us.
Our room was spartan but luckily we had a fantastic houseboy who kept our room spotless and well supplied with all the essentials.
The food was OK. Nothing special but not awful either.
The most distressing occurrence was the pools (x3) which all developed a disgusting algae problem about 4 days before our departure. They became a green, cloudy mess which nobody could bring themselves to enter. The pool attendant told us that they were not going to carry out any treatment as the hotel was just about to close for a major refurbishment.
We expressed our displeasure at reception and were told that all complaints would be addressed by the management. We left for home 4 days later having heard no comments from the management. It is to be hoped that their major refurbishment also rectifies the issues we experienced.
