We stayed here while taking a long road trip when we were tired. Bad Move. The walls had been repaired with plaster but were not repainted. The corner near the door was brown from dirt (see photo). The sheets on my side of the bed had a big black mark. Might have been a footprint, not sure though. I stayed on the other side of the bed. Blanket and mattress pad were frayed. Underside of the comforter was dirty. Much of the linen should not have been used. TV worked. AC worked. Lights worked. I paid twice as much to stay at this Super 8 than I paid for a superior Super 8 property the night before in Wausau, Wisconsin. What a rip off! My advice: if going west on I-40 drive 20 miles down the road to Forest City, Arkansas and pick any motel. They all must be better.

Desk clerk was very rude. Asked how long we'd been married, He said most of his patrons had only been married about 30 minutes?? HMMM Outside was very run down and in very poor repair. Inside the room was worse. Other reviews have pretty well summed it up. I would recommend to avoid at all cost. Also extremely noisy !! Would not have stayed had it not been so late and very tired. Only place available. We did attempt to get a room before we got this far but they were all booked because of a convention.

We got stuck at this motel after a vehicle breakdown in Heth and this is unfortunately the only motel or hotel there. There are some other towns not too far down the road, and on hindsight I wish we would have just had our car towed to the next town over as it could not have been worse than where we ended up. This was one of the nastiest places I have ever stayed but the worst part of the whole ordeal was the manager.

We checked into the motel because we were essentially stranded (it was a weekend) and we needed a place to use the phone and internet so that we could figure out our options as to fixing the car, how to get home, etc. Our cell phones got no signal and the phone in the room was broken, so I went up to the front desk to ask if we could switch phones or switch rooms. That is when the manager informed me that none of the phones at his motel made long distance calls(!) and that I would have to make any calls from HIS office. He also kept harassing us to let him call his cousin to come fix our car. I wasn't bothered that he didn't offer us any real assistance as most managers would have probably done, but what I had the major problem with was that he saw us as two stranded people that he could prey upon (boy, was he in for a surprise).

If you find yourself stranded here, the good news is that there are several places to eat within walking distance and a travel center across the street with anything you could possibly need. Also, the motel internet did actually work. I did eventually get cell phone reception at the side of the hotel that faces the service station (past room 120). The nearest place for taxis, car rentals, etc is West Memphis which is about 25 miles away. It was $75 for a taxi into Memphis, but it was worth the money to get out of that dump.

When we first arrived...the clerk was outside and we had to wait. He had broken English and very hard to understand....The rooms were dirty. Moldy showers, dirty bathtub, dirty bedding, lamp shades were so dirty they had dust balls hanging from them, carpet was dirty and had lumps underneath it, molding coming off the walls, walls were dirty with God knows what? Paint peeling everywhere!, Ice machine didn't work, lamps didn't work, coke machine didn't work! It is obvious that no money is being put back into the motel for repairs....This motel gives Super 8 a bad name....The pictures on the net make it look nice,,,but don't be fooled like we were! I would NEVER stay here again and if we weren't so tired when we stopped I would have drove another 100 miles just to avoid this DUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
