Got in late, went to bed about 2am. The walls are paper thin. The lady next door wakes the next morning and yells and then has loud conversations with other guest, as if they were home. You can hear everything.The owners & staff were rolling their noisy carts and vacuum cleaner by my room at 7am. Forget any sleep past then. I left with four hours of sleep. I was considering staying there on my return and asked about other rooms at the back of the motel and was emphatically dismissed, as those were doubles. The price is very high for the quality, not to mention how poorly managed this place is. I could have gotten it for $5 cheaper on the Internet than they gave me when I called. I would NOT remmend this place to anyone. I'd stay at Brinkley just down the road instead of this %&#)&%!!

Stayed at Hazen Super 8 on Christmas Eve after long drive from Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge. Did not have advance reservations because I didn't know for certain how far we would get down the raod that evening. In situations like that, I rely heavily on the 2005 International Directory of Super 8 motels which are available at any Super 8. Anyway, I was going to stop at Brinkley, Ark, but the Super 8 there has been sold to different operator. Continued on to Hazen, which is the next location west bound on I-40. Room was clean and quiet. Only about eight rooms full in entire hotel. Had a good night's sleep and ample breakfast before long drive. Kids played in pool at night before going to bed. My only complaint was the charge- $79! This was after a AAA discount and with two children staying free! I know it was a holiday evening, but I only paid $55 for a nicer place in the Gatlinburg area the previous night.
