This camp has 2 sections - North and South, each with 7 tents and each with their own dining/bar/lounge area. The tents are strung out along an elevated boardwalk and it is possible to walk the length of the 2 camps. However, you only socialise and go on drives with your own camp - having 7 tents makes for a more intimate experience (and it wasn't full when we were there, so even better !).
The tents are huge, with interior space split into four areas - bed, toilet/sinks, shower (enormous !) and sunken lounge. BIg outdoor deck with a plunge pool (far too cold in June to try that !), and a fabulous view of the lagoon from both the lounge area and the deck. Food was EXCELLENT - no buffet dinners here, but items chosen off a short menu. You can also ask to have a private dinner at various lcoations on the main deck area if you don't want to join other guests - we did that on our last night there - very romantic, with candles etc.
Our guide was amazing - Ona found us all sorts of wonderful sightings,, including successfully tracking a leopard, closely followed by another great leopard sighting, hyena and pups, elephants, owls, sable, buffalo, lions eating a kill and all the other usual suspects. He also put up with our mangling the local language as we learned some of the words for various animals. All good fun.
From our own tent, we watched a large herd of buffalo splash their way round the edge of the lagoon, saw a group of lechwe (antelope) run through the water, and also a family of banded mongeese play in and around the front of the tent. At night, a small herd of elephants frequently dined on the trees/bushes around the camp (which means you sometimes have to be driven to your tent as you can't safely walk past them !)
We loved this camp and wouldn't hesitate coming back to it.
