I stayed at this hotel on june 2007 on a business trip. This hotel is basically used by venezuelan goverment employees on visit to this small city of cumana. Cumana is a city on the coast, so temperatures are around 30 ºC all the year. Why do I say this? Well, because the restaurant with air conditioning is closed and only the "buffet-style-open-air" one is working. Try to imagine having lunch here, with a suit and tie, and you will know why I complain about this.
The room was clean (towels and linen spotlessly white) but for a couple hairs' I found in the basin and bathroom (I admit it, I was looking for them when I checked-in). The air conditioning was working well and was very silent, the tv was ok for venezuelan hotels (20in, cable tv, about 50 channels). Laudry service was very cheap, though they ate a couple buttons on my shirts, hotel staff was friendly and answered all my requests within minutes (light bulb broken, batteries for tv remote control, etc). At reception they can contact some local companies for tours and taxi services.
There is no internet service at the rooms, but in the lobby they have a couple of socks to plug your pc for broadband.
Food is ok, though mosquitoes will eat you alive while dinning here!
