Front desk staff was nice enough to return my son's clothing once we realized we had left it, and that is the outstanding plus of our vacation. Pool needs maintenance...it was gritty and couldn't see the hotel emblem in the bottom during our weeklong stay. They cater vacation camps for youngsters that are running around and we even saw a dirty diaper floating in the kids pool, with a couple of hotel staff just laying around not bothering to clean it up. Toilet plumbing was leaking. Only one AC control for both the bedroom and living room untis. 3 lightbulbs were not working and they changed a day after we mentioned it to front desk. Very basic kitchen with no can opener, spatulas, etc. and not even a sponge or kitchen towel, not even on request. One night we wanted to have dinner there and the cook was sick and did not show up (and had no substitute). No wifi connection the entire week of our stay. The beach that is near the hotel is not nice...it would be better to drive to the town of Mochima, a half hour away, and enjoy any of the lovely beaches you can visit in a small boat ("penero"). Overall, you can catch beautiful sunsents from the hotel and anywhere in Cumana. Being from Venezuela, it is disappointing not being able to recommend this hotel to anyone! First time in a few years we exchange our timeshare week to stay in a different part of our own country and sadly regretted the decision. The only hotel I'd stay in if I were to return to Cumana is the Cumanagoto without a doubt. Would not stay again
