Do you want to save a fortune on hotel? How does a fully secure, clean, friendly and affordable hotel on the beach sound? But where is the savings you ask? Beer at the beach bars are approx. 50 cents each. A very large fried red snapper fish dish will run you an absurd 3 or 4 dollars. It is fresh and mouthwateringly good. I eat it everyday when there. If I told you you could get a hotel room for 1 month for $220 USD you might suggest I stop eating in them cheap restaurants. But it is true. The Imperial Hotel on Raul leoni-Via El Morro in Porlamar puts you steps away from 50 cent beer at your whim. The daily rate is about $20 USD. The staff is very professional and nauseatingly courteous. If you go, ask for Bebe at the desk as she is your best bet to talking to an English speaking receptionist. The staff will bend over backwards and move mountains to accommodate your requests. They will even take home your laundry and bring it back washed for about 5 or 6 dollars. There is a restaurant but is not owned by the hotel and they require cash payment to order to your room. Skip it! There's too many places to eat dirt cheap in the area to waste your time on that nonsense. The entrance to the hotel is fortified with a iron gate to keep you sleeping safe and cosy at night and is constantly manned 24-7. The cheaper hotels in the area do not have this very important security feature as in room robberies and invasions have occured in the past. Don't take a chance. Stay in a secure hotel and you'll have no problems whatsoever with undesirables. The rooms are spacious enough as to not feel you are holed up in a closet. A/C, CNN, CABLE, Mini fridge, balcony. Go to Margarita. Step off the plane and head for this hotel on Bella Vista Beach (near Bella Vista Hotel) and get ready to drink up the savings. Cheers!
