I rang to book a meal for my aunts 80th birthday, Would have been 14 people plus a baby. The first lady I spoke to gave the impression that they were just too busy but said if I pre-ordered food we could be accommodated in their dining room. I asked her to email the menu so that we could pre-order, The menu did not arrive. I rang twice to ask where it was but spoke to 2 different people who were not particularly helpful. I was asked to ring back when the owner was there but, by this time, I just felt that the custom was not needed or wanted. I therefore cancelled and booked at another eatery. Poor show Tal Y Don

Stayed for one night - we are regulars to Barmouth on a Yearly basis. Room was lovely (decoration chinese style) Comfortable Bed, facilities excellent in room apart from air conditioning. Our room was extremely hot almost unbearable, however staff were helpful with the situation. Breakfast was very yummy the following morning. Considering it is above a very popular pub with back and front beer gardens, noise could not be heard. Will definitely stay again

Very unfriendly, unprofessional, room was ok, obviously never heard of standard of service, unless you are local.
We stay in Barmouth regular but wouldn't use Taly y don again, Be aware if you stay to confirm breakfast time's as our menu supplied in the room was ripped and scribbled out, not clear to read and so we missed the time slot of between 8am- 8.45, even though they supply breakfast in the pub downstairs at this same time, we wasn't offered anything and still was charged. We usually stay St Georges terrace , barmouth cottages, which is really good value and Lark and Peter are very friendly and welcoming

my husband and i stayed for one night clean room great food and shirly was great behind the bar cant wait to go back.
