“very dissapointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Stayed for 1 night and definatley wont be back. Very over priced. Paid £80 for two of us B & B. Accomodation is very basic, bed very uncomfortable, neither of us had a good nights sleep. Bathroom was unclean and shower was nothing more than a trickle. Tv remote only worked when you were directly in front of it, anything more than 3 feet away and you didnt stand a chance. I found this hotel was definatley over priced for what it was. There was no bar but you could take your own drinks to the lounge, which looked more like a care home.

“As average as any accomodation Can be, but not a bad stay in anyway.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011 via mobile

The hotel backdates from the 70's which shows in every area of the hotel, but All your basic accomodation needs are taken care off. We enjoyed the breakfast, the staff were very hospitable most of the time and the location in Ullapool is in walking distance from the City restaurants and bars.

“not a comfortable stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

I spent one night here with my boyfriend, while having a tour of Scotland. The hotel is in a lovely location overlooking Loch Broom, with gardens and a huge parking lot. The hotel itself is pretty old fashion, more like a motel than an hotel. We had a very small room and the most disappointing thing was the “bathroom”, which consisted of a very small area with a shower (with curtains) and a wc, closed by a sliding door. You could barely move in it. The washbasin was in the room itself, so very unconfortable! Breakfast was ok. The receptionist was not really friendly and helpful. I would not suggest to stay here, even for one night.

“Comfortable Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

We were made very welcome on our arrival. The rooms were better than average for this type and price range of hotel. The beds were comfortable with good quality bed linen.
As the hotel has no drinks licence we were told that we were very welcome to bring our own drinks into the spacious, well furnished lounge where glasses and ice were provided. What a fantastic idea why don't more hotels offer this facility it made a big difference to our stay.
Breakfast was served in a beautiful room overlooking the loch and was plentiful and tasty.
We will definatley stay here again if we travel this way again.

Room Tip: Take your own drinks and enjoy the comfortable lounge with loch view

“very good but disappointed regarding published tariff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

We stayed here for one night in two double rooms, one of which was a single occupancy and the rates published at the reception desk stated that in August single occupancy was £60( subject to availability) but it was not specified that there would also be an extra charge of £20 as it was a busy weekend making a total of £80 while a double occupancy was £90. This should have been clearly displayed at reception so as not to cause confusion on paying the bill.

However the hotel was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast.
