Three of us stayed at the Dromnan for the Loopallu festival and it was a delight. A few minutes walk from the main town gives it the advantage of being right on a quiet and secluded beach and the owners gave us loads of ideas for walks that suited the weather.
The bedroom and en-suite bathroom had everything we needed and there are kippers as well as eggs and the usual fry on the breakfast menu - glorious! I spent a couple of happy hours nestled in one of the sofas with my book for some quiet time, but a highlight, apart from the festival itself, was spending the end of an evening dancing at the local bar - as recommended by one of the guest house ladies. A real off-the-beaten-track bit of local knowledge for which we were extremely grateful.
all of Ullapool made us welcome, but the Dromnan also kept us very, very comfortable.
