Spent three nights at Summerhill, in the downstairs room with the private entrance. Did not try the "famed" pool, but the pool/breakfast room was very awesome. Tina & Robin (our hosts) are very gracious and their home that they share with guests reflects this. Attention is paid to every detail, and everything is of the best quality. We tried two of the recommendations for evening meals, and the food was of superior quality at both, although we did prefer the less hectic pace at Jewel in the Crown (two nights). We would definitely recommend Summerhill without any hesitation.

Beautiful, very clean, modern accomodations. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom - the room has it's own balcony with private access. A sitting area with tv is provided, wireless access, hot drinks, cookies, fresh flowers were displayed in the room, the bathroom was gorgeous and very clean as well. I can't say enough about how nice this B&B is. The owners Robin and Tina went out of their way to make our stay special. My travel companion was a vegan and Tina made her breakfast to order and it was delicious! Downtown is just a short walk from the house as well. I didn't get to try the pool but it looked wonderful. Absolutely fantastic place! Would definitely stay again.

This is pure luxury accomodation! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Summerhill, in the downstairs bedroom. The room was ultra clean, modern and very inviting. This is a newly built home - and all of the touches of a first class hotel are there - including a private entrance. One of the nice touches (that you rarely find in a B and B) is an iron and ironing board in your room. You could not ask for more friendly and accomodating hosts. Robin and Tina go out of their way to offer a warm Scottish welcome. Our breakfast the following morning was simply outstanding! Tina purchases food items from local farms / markets, so everything is locally grown and FRESH. The accomodation also includes an indoor resistance pool - so don't forget to pack your bathing suit. Do yourself a favor and spend a night (or two...or three...) at Summerhill. You won't regret it!!!

Luxurious facilities in a modern, quiet home. We stayed in the spacious and comfortable upstairs double. Tina provides a great breakfast with lots of options and insightful advice about the area. B&B is within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants, especially the wonderful Carlo's. Spa looks awesome but we did not use it.
