“Best B & B I have ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

We stayed 2 nights and booked both rooms for single occupancy, but it was like having a private suite as we had the whole of the upstairs to ourselves. The rooms were really roomy and beautifully appointed and the bathrooms were like something out of ideal homes. We felt immediately at home and Caroline and Stewart made us very welcome. The breakfast was delicious with everything you could want and all locally sourced ingredients. I shall definitely use Isla Cottage again and already look forward to my visit.

“Our best B & B experience to date!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

We were only with Caroline and Stewart for one night but would have loved to stay longer if possible. The degree of attention to detail meant that we never needed to ask for anything because it was already there! Great cups of coffee and baked treats, a HUGE selection at breakfast for all tastes, a complementary drink in the evening, immaculate en suite shower and handmade soap, comfortable bed and plenty of pillows, a home away from home!
If we are ever in the area again, we will not hesitate to get in touch. Thanks for such a great stay and all the travel recommendations you gave us!

“Warm welcome, excellent accommodation - a delightful experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2011

My son and I spent two very comfortable nights at Isla Cottage. Caroline and Stewart made us feel relaxed and welcome and were able to answer a number of queries we had about the area.
Our breakfasts were delicious and it was interesting to read about all the locally-sourced food we were eating.
I had been a little concerned about possible traffic noise, before we arrived, but my worries were totally dismissed - the bedrooms are at the back of the house and overlook the beautiful countryside so traffic noise is barely noticable.....and the bed was so comfortable I had no trouble in getting off to sleep!
The presence of their beautiful cat, Lucy, completed the homely, relaxing atmosphere!

Room Tip: Both bedrooms - ensuite - are equally spacious.

“Excellent”

Glengarth.

Isla Cottage is a delightful place to stay. Caroline and Stewart give you a very warm welcome and they have thought of everything to give you a comfortable and pleasant overnight stay. The rooms are spacious and there is no danger of bruising your elbows in the shower room, which can only be described as elegant. If you want comfort, helpfulness and good food this is a B&B to be recommended.
