“another great stay”

With nice large rooms ,great gardens and great service , you won't find a nicer place to stay in the area than here . There is a well stocked bar and snooker room for those who don't want to stray to far at night and the home cooked food is second to none , before you look somewhere else stay here first and you'll be glad you did . I cannot reccommend this 4* b&b highly enough !!

Room Tip: All the rooms are large but my favorite is room one plenty of light and a nice view over the gardens

A really nice place to stay - a bit more pricey than most B&Bs but you'll see why.

“A lovely peaceful break”

We had a warm welcome, the room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was huge! Newton Stewart is a good base for exploring the surrounding countryside. The nearest Pub was welcoming and well stocked with whisky and the Cinema had the most comfortable seats ever. We didn't see the red squirrel, so we will have to come back!

“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2010

Two very nice people run a spotlessly clean and comfortable b & b. Very quiet location with ample secure parking. Ideal for 2 or 3 couples having a reunion (as were we). An evening meal on the 1st night prepared by Julie was typical good home cooking. A short walk into town lead us to the Galloway Arms for dinner on other nights where we found excelent local food (with piles of chips that could not be avoided). There were no important negative features but those planning a visit might like to consider bringing some extra clothes hangers, a bottle of shampoo and some non slimline tonic for the G&T.
Please go and see the red kites being fed at 2pm. The local golf course was a pleasure to play with reasonable green fee and buggy hire (phone 1st). The town itself, appart from its location, is rather undistinguished.
We greatly enjoyed meeting Rob and Julie and would certainly stay again if we were in the area.

“Exceptional Stay and the Best Guesthouse I have ever been too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2010

I spent 5 night at Rowallan over the August bank holiday weekend. The area, the house, the garden, the host's, the beauty, the breakfast and dinners, the fun of the trip was overwhelming. What a Fanatatic guesthouse a beuatiful area.

I look forward to my next visit
