The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were even given a room in which to store our motorcycle gear after we had checked out. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The hotel also has its own private car park. The town is very picturesque with lots of shops and restaurants. We liked everything about the hotel and the town and have nothing at all negative to say about either.

Went here with my brother and nephew 30th july 2011 for 1 night, got a family for £60 all in with breakfast, room was massive a double bed with a couch in the room then a door to a twin room FANTASTIC VALUE, had dinner there with was ok nothing to great to be honest, brekfast was so much better, had a beer after dinner and bar staf was over talking to us (really friendly) manager was also really nice explaining best roads to go on with our motorbikes to return to Largs, Newton Stewart itself is a nice wee place, couldnt go for 2 or more nights but defo 1 night then move on.

We had a first class weekend at The Bruce.The staff were excellent and looked after all of us, 13 adults and 5 children, really well! Food was plentiful and tasty. Making a return journey in mid-August

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here as part of a quiet weekend away. We found the staff (particularly the manager) very friendly and the room was very clean and spacious. The TV was a bit small but we were there to enjoy the local area, not watch tv. Very comfy bed.

We ate one night in the restaurant which was nice and good value for money. The steak I had was particularly good. Its not often I go to a restaurant and get a steak cooked exactly the way I want it.
