We've just returned from a two night b&b break at the "Hope & Anchor" & we had a lovely
stay,the bedroom was warm & comfortable with lots of nice touches. The breakfast was based
on put your order in the night before and served at your bird named table,with other hot options available
other than the full monty,boiled eggs, kippers ect., on both days it was served red hot & cooked
perfectly.we also sampled their bar menu, which proved to be just as good as the breakfasts,
red hot,fresh and plenty of it!.
The staff are very accomodating and nothings the bother
"The Hope & Anchor" has a nice lived in feel & a homely welcoming atmosphere,i would
recommend anyone to stay or sample the delights of there menu.

We went here for a snack after a walk on the beach with our puppies. We wanted to go somewhere the dogs were welcome, even though we knew they would sit quietly . The service was excellent and we will be going there regularly based on what we found today.

As an exiled Geordie, this is my base every time I come "home". Sandra and the staff are extremely friendly and encourage dogs, although our Labrador is a bit too large to bring away from home. The accommodation is comfortable and the food is very good. I cannot understand the few adverse comments made - this is not meant to be a five star hotel, but it is an excellent small hotel in a seaside village with very high standards.

food is superb. music (amy holford)way beyond amazing...you tube and recommend! had to stand at bar for 20 min when i got there cos someones old spaniel knew my foot is the most wonderful place in the world to snooze.brilliant place/lovely people/staff/dogs!
