My partner and I booked into the Rock Point Inn as it was our 1st wedding anniversary and wanted a central hotel on the beach with good views, what we got far exceeded our expectations! Initially when we were shown to our room it was the wrong one, but was still lovely albeit a small double. To get to our room (the honeymoon suite) we were then taken up a narrow staircase (own front door at bottom) which opened out into the most woderful loft bedroom we had ever seen in a hotel. The room was enormous with beautiful exposed beams. There was a kingsize bed and plenty of storage for clothes and the like and also an area with hangers to hang any trousers/posh clothes etc. A large TV adorned the wall opposite the bed with a small table and two chairs next to the very large window which boasted views up the coast. The room was ensuite with a very large bathroom which had a 2 person bath and seperate shower. The loft room and ensuite were brand new and very very clean and we felt so comfortable and looked after.

If there was anything negative to say about our stay at the Rock Point it would be that there was no hair dryer and the bath towels were a little on the small size. Also, breakfast was not available which is why we have rated 4 out of 5. To be honest though, because we didn't have to rush down to catch breakfast every morning it was actaully quite relaxing as it meant we could have a leisurely morning and then wander out into the town to find a breakfast when we were ready.

We will definitely return to the Rock Point Inn and will make sure that we book the honeymoon suite everytime as we loved having the extra space. The owner Gail was very helpful and sorted out our car parking issue for the weekend which was brilliant...thank you Gail!

We stayed here a couple of nights over the May Bank Holiday and had a lovely stay. The room had wonderful views over Lyme Bay. Probably the best in Lyme Regis. The bathroom was new and the shower fantastic. Yes the floors are wonky but that's part of the charm of an old building. The bed was in need of a revamp but it honestly didn't spoil our weekend at all. They don't do breakfast but that gives you the freedom to do what you want when you want and there are bags of places in Lyme to have breakfast anyway. I'd recommend this place, it's great value and in a wonderful spot. Seagulls a little noisy but again that adds to the charm of being beside the sea! I'd definitely stay here again.

I am a seasoned traveller and after reading some of the reviews, I was worried. Well... there was nothing to worry about! It was a terrific stay. The location is perfect; the staff was extremely polite. The pub (located downstairs) was a wonderful place to meet locals and tourists alike. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would strongly recommend it to anyone! The Inn is located in the prime spot (in the heart of the town). Lyme Regis is a World Heritage Town and a lovely place to visit. In the heart of summer it can get quite busy. The food in the pub downstairs is homemade and the beer was cold. The rooms were all recently redone. The owner (Gail) is a charming person and is most happy to help you, if required.
There is a chippie located just beside the Inn and the fish and chips are to die for! The dollar value was excellent.
I plan to return for the Olympics (the sailing events are to be held quite close to Lyme Regis).

The Rock Point Inn was great right on the door of the beach. The rooms have just been revamped so i was told and they are splendid,clean,tidy and views out of this world.The staff were so polite and happy to help. good price of beers and wine and a extensive food menu which we tried and the food was great. I would recommend this Establishment to anyone FANTASTIC.
