Upon reaching the venue via a 2 mile long driveway, it was exactly what the description on the webpage said - peaceful, tranquil, simply divine. My husband, mother in law and myself went for a pre-Christmas meal. The evening started in the drawing room infront of a blazing fire, piped music for the time of year gently playing in the background - so relaxing. A very attentive waiter attended to our every need. The dining room was very classy indeed, again a log fire burning, and with candles glowing, created a warming atmosphere. Even the house cat sat on my mother in law's lap throughout the meal. The meal itself was well worth the wait as it is cooked to order. Lovely food, well presented. Pity it was dark, so we will be going back in the spring when we can see what the whole area is like.
