“Comfy base for weekend in N Bewick”

Old, traditional hotel with recent sympathetic rennovation. Is a good 10 mins walk to town but pleasant walk along the coast.

Recommend getting view of golf course and sea as stunning!

Nice indoor pool and ok gym. Thermal suite of 7 different hot and cold rooms was pleasant surprise (free for all guests to use). Hot tub outside was great to sit in under the stars !

Suggest you get breakfast included as is expensive otherwise. Drinks and dinner are not cheap but to be expected when staying in rural upmarket place like this. Quality of food was good and innovative.

Rooms are fine but not luxiourious. Could have done with a bit more attention to detail eg upright lamp to give better lighting than main harsh overhead light. Also TV was too small to see from bed.

Good choice for w/end break to the coast !

fantastic night in this hotel, friendly helpful staff. Our room was upgraded to a turret suite with sea views after a mix up with the booking. will definitely be back

Fantastic service, the waiting staff in the restaurant where great, rooms had plenty of space and very well laid out, the room was spotles

Stayed 27th jan for 2 nights room 125 every thing about stay was fantastic room spa food staff all great 3rd time at at macdonalds hotel and this was the best highly recommend thanks to girl on reception for letting us check in early

“EXCELLENT!!!”

This was mine and my husband's second stay in this hotel (to celebrate wedding anniversary) and it is just fantastic! Can't fault anything! Located in a beautiful small town of North Berwick (15 minutes walk to town from hotel) with few unique shops, couple of bars ( we had very nice tappas and a drink in a lovely italian wine bar). The location of this hotel is superb - directly on the beach, with breathtaking views!!! The service was excellent, the food to die for, spa is fabulous and overall - should be 5*! We love it and will be coming back year after year - it is our retreat!

Room Tip: Choose sea view - it is a must!!!!
