“Wonderful relaxing weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We booked our weekend stay months back and thought it would be nice to have a relaxing weekend after Christmas and cheer us up in Jaunary. I didnt have very high expectations of the hotel from the website pictures and although we upgraded our room I still wasnt expecting too much.
On arrival the check in service was perfect, welcoming, informative and friendly. When we entered our room I was pleasently suprised by the spaciousness. The HUGE and very comfy bed, seating area with tv and desk and the best bit, patio doors to our own little patio with tables and chairs, fantastic for a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee in the morning. It really was like a home from home. The room was totally spotless, the housekeepers standards are very high and they obviously work very hard.
The hotel seemed moderately busy however our room was very very quiet which was wonderful.
Whilst a guest at the hotel you recieve free membership to the health club which we made full use of during our stay. A lovely swimming pool, sauna, steam and a great little gym. The staff at the health club were again very welcoming and accommodating. There is also a spa at the health club (payable) which looked very nice but we did not have time to explore this time.
We did not eat in the restaurant during our stay, however breakfast was included and served buffett style, full cooked breakfast, pastries, fruit, cereals etc. They were also happy to cook eggs on demand shuld you fancy poached or scrambled. Again the service at breakfast was attentive and friendly. The only thing which could have improved our stay slightly would be if breakfast was served a little later. Breakfast finished at 9.30, on a relaxing weekend it would have been nice if it ran untill 10.30.
All in all we were so pleased with our stay and spent most of the time relaxing in our lovely room or at the health club. Every single member of staff were friendly and welcoming which was fantastic (sadly rarely the case these days).
We will be planning another relaxing stay here in the summer.

If you fancy a walk around the histoic parts of Kings lynn I can reccommend the treasure trail which you can buy on line (treasuretrails.co.uk) it is a lovely walk avoiding the town centre set out like a treasure hunt to solve a murder mystery. We did it on the Saturday morning of our stay and it was really good fun.

Room Tip: Our room was furthest from the reception and so hardly anyone walked past our room which was wonderf...

“Very nice indeed”

We stayed here for a couple of nights in January 2012 and were not disappointed. Although we had paid for the upgraded room - we were given the standard room on arrival, and once my husband complained they could not have been more apologetic and friendly and we were soon moved to the larger room, which was great - huge bed, patio with table and chairs and lovely big bathroom. We used the spa & pool, which was clean and very relaxing. We ate in the garden restaurant on our first night and we both agreed it was excellent, yes, a bit pricey, but we got what we paid for. An excellent meal in lovely surroundings served by polite and efficient staff. We have family in the area and would most definately stay there again when we visit.

Room Tip: Pay the little extra and upgrade - certainly worth it.

“Great executive room with balcony and huge bath. It Pays more to pay for the better room in the whole hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Me and my partner just spent the weekend there for a romantic getaway and to propose to my girlfriend in the Norfolk broads which went very well. When we arrived I already planned to have champagne and roses in the room, immediatly we was very well greeted by the reception staff and that we had been upgraded for free to the best room in the whole hotel which is like mini apartment with a seperate lounge area, a huge bathroom with a huge bathtub, lovely king size bed, with a balcony. We ordered room service that night which was quick, good customer service and the food was on point. We got to the next day and not so good when someone didnt shut their bathroom door and set off the firealarms, so not a great start but not down to the hotel.

NOTE: Do not eat in the restaurants apart from breakfast, not great food with moody not talkative staff. On check out there were different staff who were not friendly at all, didnt even ask how our stay was or anything they could of done, nothing! So that was not impressive and could do with some training. But overall for the price, what we got and what we made of the weekend it was lovely, just the staff I would retune and the customer service.

Room Tip: Pay more and go for the executive room if its for you and someone special and to have more room and...

“romantic night away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We booked the four poster room with big bath, for a well earnt night away from the kids. After we checked ourselves in and made our way up to our room,we were unable to get in as there was a problem with the lock.Reception soon fixed this and as soon as we saw the room the lock issue was forgotten. What a lovely room with views over the fields to Kings Lynn.We ate in the Farmers Inn and had a lovely meal ,although i wish we had booked a table as the bar area was busy with locals eating-dont blame them. The hotels breakfast was buffet, which meant we could have as much as we wanted. The staff were all friendly and very polite.Reception even had ice scrapers and de-icer out to use ,as it was a rather frosty morning. No complaints from us.

Room Tip: Four poster room well worth the money.Courtyard rooms would be noisy if a function on.

“New Year's Eve Dinner Dance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

This was our first 'Hogmanay' at Knight's Hill and it was excelent. The service we had, the ambience, the choice and quality of the food were all excellent. All the staff were friendly and curteous and had obviously been well trained. A most enjoyable few days.
