we came up on the 26th october for a day out as we have always poped threw when , staying at sedburgh and i had a realy good night , the staff were pleasent ,we had the meal deal with a bottle of wine , we had the soup which was home made and tasted lovely i had the curry my husband had the lasagna they were lovely meals i have booked up for new year as i realy had a good night

My husband and i were visiting Kirkby Lonsdale and called into The Snooty Fox as we saw a meal deal menu board outside. On going inside it seemed dark and rather gloomy, however we decided to have a drink and choose our meal deal. I chose pate and toast, my husband chose the soup of the day. The pate was obviously just a chunk of shop bought average quality,and the toast was barely toasted. The soup was also only average. For our next course we had both chosen fish and chips with peas. As soon as the plates were put on the table we both commented on how greasy the fish looked. We tried to eat the battered fish but the grease was overpowering, on removing the batter there was a tiny piece of poor quality fish in yet more grease! The waitress came across and asked if everything was alright with our meal and we said " no it was too greasy", she said she would tell her boss the landlord. Eventually we decided we could look at this greasy platter no more and so finished our drinks and put on our jackets. The landlord came across to clear our plates and on seeing the unfinished hardly eaten meals asked us if our meal had been ok? On telling him that no it had been awful and far to greasy to eat, his only reply was to say that he "would tell the chef"! There was no apology and no offer of any refund! We had wasted £20.00 in total and don't want other travelers to waste their money.

we chose the sunday roast of beef it can only be discribed as bad
the beef was tough the vegatables where cold the yorkshire pudding must of been under a heat lamp all day as it was hard and not easy to cut through.
there was a table of 4 on the next to us who order beef and lanb when the waitress brought it she did not know which was lamb and which was beef.
they sent theirs back as it was cold.
i wish we hade and got our money back.
do not eat hear as it is poor.

We booked 4 nights only stayed 2 nights. Our room at the front of the Inn it was small shabby and the carpet had numerous stains the room was in need of an upgrade. It was ubove the bar which we expected some noise untill midnight not untill 3am my be we were unlucky but never again
