We stayed at the Blue Pig as a stop over while driving to Bradford from Scotland. Beautiful setting, with some great, pubs, restaurants and shops in the surrounding streets. Cosy accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners Bill and Sue are very friendly and welcoming. Best cooked breakfast we've had in a B&B!

Excellent B&B in a charming village. The owners Sue and Bill greeted us warmly when we arrived for a night's stay on our way to Scotland just before Christmas. Nice room with fabulous en-suite bathroom (with underfloor heating and a great shower!). The B&B is right in the centre of the village, which wasn't designed with cars in mind, so you do have to park some distance away in a reserved parking spot - however, it is possible to pull in to unload bags. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it, with good strong coffee! Would recommend this B&B.

My partner and I stayed at the cosy Blue Pig B&B in late August, on our way back down south after a stay in Scotland and the Lake District. Would suggest staying here for those who enjoy the comfortable familiar feel that good B&B's offer, a home away from home for the night!
The owners were very welcoming and helpful in answering any of our questions in regards to the village/town of Kirkby Lonsdale and the surrounding area. There are a few really interesting and beautiful walks around the town that are worth a trek. Kirkby Lonsdale also has a few good pubs and restaurants as well as shops so everything you need is within walking distance. The cottage is on the small side but that just helps add to the charm, with free Wi-fi, parking and en-suite bedroom it has all the amenities you'd need for a stop-over stay. Great value and a delicious breakfast to finish off the stay.

Would recommend the Blue Pig to any avid B&B fans and to anyone that usually avoids them.

Superb accommodation in a great location with brilliant hosts. We had a fantastic 2 night stay for my wifes birthday. The cottage is lovely with free parking and free Wi-fi and the en-suite bedroom was superb. Breakfast kept us going right through the day and the recommendations from Sue and Bill for evening dining were spot on. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the hosts. Highly recommended!
