Stayed here en route from London to Bristol one night. Parking in the service stattion, well lit and safe. Easy check in. Hotel away from motorway so nice and quiet. Had a double room with a sofa bed which was nice to watch the TV on. All the amentiies you need in the room, including free wifi which. Bathroom clean, but slightly dated. Shower powerrful and warm. Did not go for the £5 "continental" breakfast, but you can grab breakfast in the service station which is 2 mins walk away. At £35 for the night perfect for what I needed and at the good price.

I stayed at this hotel as a stop over enroute to Wales. Upon entering my room I was hit with a smell which was a combination of stale cigarette smoke and body odour. I asked reception to move me and she refused even though the hotel was not full. They take your money when you checkin so you are stuck

I was working in Newbury and coming back from Somerset, Days inn Membury was pretty good, very quiet, windows that opened, decent service from Reception.

They had BT Openzone for internet but I used my normal Voda dongle so didn't need to use it.

Best of all there was a private bridge that let you cross over the M4 from one side to another.

There are a lot of nice hotels and B&B's around the area so probably won't use again but for £40 I cannot complain and would use again if necessary.

I'd read the reviews of this place on tripadvisor before I left and felt confident that it would be ok. My brother lives nearby & we just wanted somewhere clean, cheap & cheerful. We stayed 2 nights & I'm not sure I could have stayed the third night. It felt dirty!! The carpet looked grubby, there was a musty smell in the room & I felt completely ill at ease about sleeping in the hotel. It was cheap; we paid £30 per night but I definately wouldn't stay here again! I just can't understand the previous reviews given for this hotel!
