This hotel is recommended in a guide book called '1000 places to see before you die' as the hotel of choice when visiting the Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres. The room was gorgeous with an amazing view, and the meal we had in the restaurant was fabulous. The service and staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us. There are also signed Dali paintings on the walls and the head chef took the time to show us each one and explain the history.
The location is great for the museum but a bit of a walk from the train station, so I would recommend a taxi if you arrive by train.

The Hotel is not alocated in the center of town but since its a small city its only a 15 minutes walk.
The rooms are new, and each room has its jacuzzi.
The staff is polite.
Parking is free.
Price is reasonable.
The dissadvantages are that the room does not have windows, only a door to a balcony.
We came in a warm day in October but the Hotel didn't use the airconditioning unit and they told us they can't connect it (the system was already prepared for winter) so it was warm inthe rooms.
The Hotel is situated in a main steet so if you don't keep the doors to the balcony closed you hear the cars.
On the whole it was Ok.

The Hotel Emporda is situated just outside the city centre in Figueres
and is a modern, bright hotel. We visited there for dinner only
very recently and the food is excellent.

Nice modern surroundings with soft lighting, the restaurant staff were
very friendly and spoke good English. A very pleasant atmosphere.

Fantastic menu, excellent food and good wine menu including a lot of locally produced wines, and not overpriced. Nice little touches
such as a pre starter and a lovely little dish of further puddings alongside
coffee.

Good car parking available and highly recommended.
