Stayed here for one night beginning of October. We had driven to Figueres during our mini road trip and called at this hotel on the off chance haven't not checked reviews. We were happy as it had free parking but the walk to the centre was about 30 minutes away which was hard work in the heat with a small child. It was on a main road as well and there was a bit of traffic noise but not enough to keep you awake. The room was lovely, very modern with a fantastic bathroom, large jacuzzi bath was unexpected but well needed after a day in Figueres.

Never got to eat at the hotel as it was going to cost nearly £200 for a set menu with drinks and as my son is extremely fussy about food we decided not to bother. My partner went out and bought sandwiches, pastries and drinks which cost 20 euros.

Dali museum main reason for visit to Figueres although Figueres is a beautiful place and well worth a visit. The museum was very reasonably priced. Really enjoyed the museum and pleasantly surprised that my 6 year old liked it too!

I had dined well here a couple of years ago without staying at the hotel, so opted to take a room as well this year. A fateful decision as my stay was bitterly disappointing. I have been all over Spain since 1967 and am generally delighted by the good standards and value for money, however this is without doubt the worse hotel I have visited. In all a swindling affair and absolutely not recommended.

The receptionist clearly had put out his "do not disturb" sign, was unhelpful, and as friendly as a Guardia Civil police check. I was not given the more expensive "Emporda" room I had reserved, which is suppposed to have views over the surrounding countryside.

My room turned out to filthy, covered in insects, dusty, tired, one small paper roll per room, with a view on a back street and a row of trees.

Upon check-out they tried to double charge for the garage use.

The enclosed garage is very outdated. To enter and leave you need the receptionist to come down to the garage to open or close the door himself, meaning a 5 minute wait or so while he decides to do so.

The only redeeming feature is the restaurant, although they had clearly forgotten my table reservation. True the food is somewhat too expensive, but at least it is good. The wine list is however vastly over priced by Spanish standards.

We give this hotel top marks. The room was tastefully decorated, with A/C, a safe, and minibar. Bathroom was actually extraordinary--super clean, new fixtures, bidet, and jacuzzi tub. Breakfast is worth the 13 euros. The buffet served at least 8 kinds of meats, fresh fruit, yoghurts, croissants, and 5 different egg dishes could be had to order, in addition to wonderful coffee. Yes, it's a walk to the museum and the ramblas, but if you take the lower road you are not walking on the highway and it's only about 10 minutes. The only minus is the highway in front, but you don't have to deal with it if you book a room in the back, where the view is spectacular. Concierge speaks English. Free Parking.

It was not the best hotel in our holidays but served well the purpose of an overnight stop before the next town in our itinerary.

The location is really bad-- middle of the road going out of town but the restaurant was good. Service was correct but not al all courteous. The traditional old time waiters that are tired of going beyond their call of duty...
