“shame about the weather but good hotel”

Have just returned from Tenerife our weather could have been better but couldn't fault the hotel especially the food which is above average for this type of holiday.
Main dining room is buffet style and most of the food was of a good quality.
The theme restaurants of which you can pick three if staying for one week - we chose the Asian Mexican and Italian out of the three we thought that the Asian and Mexican were as good as eating out in restaurants where we live so for this we would rate the hotel highly.
The drinks are as usual locally produced, you can if you wish purchase international brands. The house wine is ok though. We did purchase a bottle of white which wasn't expensive and was quite nice they do not overcharge the bottle cost 11 Euros.
We stayed in the Tenerife side which is smaller than it's Sister hotel Adeje. We liked this as it was a lot quieter - having said this if you wanted to see the shows you had to go over to the Adeje which is a short walk away. The Adeje would probably suit younger couples and families.
This hotel is a bit out of the way - the hotel runs a bus into the centre which you have to book. They pick you up at 12 from the Adeje side but the bus doesn't pick you up until six on the return, this was a bit too long for us so we came back by the local transport bus - missed our stop and had to get a cab - was quite funny when we found ourselves at the end of the line!
The grounds are really well kept and staff were always cleaning the public areas.
The spa was very expensive luxury pedicure 50 Euros - the beautician was very good though.

Room Tip: Our room number was 15418 and was in a really good position, this room has a balcony which has the s...

“Bad Taste”

We thought we would go somewhere special for our Ruby Wedding celebrations and were advised by Thomas Cook there was a good deal on a very good quality hotel - the Bahai Principe, Tenerife. Not only was it was it over priced but it is over rated, especially for those who like good food and peace and quiet - the alcohol appeared to be watered down and was of poor quality.
When booked this hotel we were not told they would be a 10.30am 'holiday camp' style wake up call in an excessive 'techno' music which would last for nearly 3 hours - no thought given for those who just wanted to soak in the sunshine. The hotel does cater well for families but not couples who want a quiet time - we were obviously in the wrong hotel, at the advice of Thomas Cook, who obviously just wanted to sell a holiday. The food was disgusting in the buffet restaurant, off poor quality and taste with the speciality 'a la carte' restaurants not much better.
Sorry Thomas Cook, you let us down badly.

Room Tip: There is not a problem with a balcony room as far as I am aware.

“First class - will return”

We stayed at the Bahia Principe in Costa Adeje, Tenerife from 6th – 20th January this year. This is our second visit and we are really looking forward to our next visit. We know in some reviews people complain about the location, but with such a large complex and something always going on, there is no need to leave the hotel. The staff there are very friendly they cannot do enough for you, they are always smiling especially in the main restaurant and the lobby bar. The entertainment is typical hotel acts some were better than others. There were always two choices, a show indoor and duo outdoors. The rooms were spacious and very clean, if slightly dated in appearance, but nevertheless comfortable. The a-la-carte restaurants were very good, but food in the main buffet restaurant was excellent with so much choice, so we mainly had meals in the buffet restaurant. The baileys and Irish coffee in the lobby bar were delicious. Most of the drinks, including spirits were help yourself. The grounds were immaculate and the pools had plenty of loungers. Another brilliant holiday and we cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: We email prior to arrival to ask for room overlooking pool area.

“All-in hotel, with many activities and great pools”

We just had a fantastic week in Tenerife, at the Bahia Principe hotel, the Tenerife part. Indeed, the Bahia Principe resort is now made of 2 hotels, which are next to each other and connected, the Adeje and the Tenerife one. We booked via the hotel itself, which was cheaper than via any travel agency. We were 2 adults and 2 children in a suite junior, with sea view. The room was great, clean and functional. Bed matrasses were a bit hard but for the rest, great room, big enough, with nice balcony. The Tenerife hotel part of the resort is further away from the see, but very quite (i.e. good for your room), whilst the Adeje hotel part has more pools and hosting all the adults and children activities. The 'beach' is a rocky crique. Pools were semi-heated, which was totally fine. Food variety at the main and speciality restaurants is very diverse and quality is good. Staff is, in majority, very nice. Tenerife island has plenty of activities for adults and children. Mini-club is only from 10 to 12pm and 3 to 4.30pm, with mini-disco at night.

Room Tip: Go to the Tenerife hotel part and with sea view (i.e. higher floors), to have a very quiet junior su...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Bahia Principe in September 2011, had an amazing time. Drink and food selection is fantastic! great choice of restaruants, I recommend the vodka slush puppy for during the day, went down a treat!

My only downside to this holiday was the entertainment, it was repetitive and not suited towards younger guests.

Room Tip: Book into restaraunts early to avoid dissapointment! Email hotel in advance with the type of room...
