My wife and i along with two friends had booked to stay at the Fiesta Floral hotel from 14th Jan to 21st Jan 2012. Booking was made with Jet2 holidays whose flight was perfect, bang on time and loads of leg room. Also when getting off plane were transferred to hotel by mini bus so no delays. Good start so far. We were dropped off at the Floral hotel only to be told by reception that we were in fact allocated to the Oasis hotel. We had stayed twice previously at the Fiesta and had passed the large crowd of Spanish pensioners regulalrly standing outside of the Oasis so were pretty reluctant to try the hotel, but we trudged the short walk up the hill to see what it had to offer. First impressions walking into it was that it looked better than the Fiesta, similarly the room we had was better than those we hd before in the Fiesta. SHort time later the four of us made our way to the pool, this was about 3:00 p.m. Now here is where the hotel excels. Decent sized pool, nicer surroundings, loads of sun beds and all with deep padded cushions, unlike the fiesta where you have to buy a thin cushion or do without. The next day we made our way to the pool about 9:30 a.m. and again, no problem whatsoever getting a bed. We had been told by reception that we had full use of the Fiest hotels facilities whereas later in the week a Fiesta customer told us they could not get drinks at the Oasis so we did well out of the deal. The Oasis is definitely geared towards the Spanish OAP market and the food was more reflective of this. I am a more fussy eater so struggled some times for a meat i liked, my wife and friends however loved the selection of pastas and salads. We did eat several times in the Fiesta and the food there was perfectly fine, the steak one night being excellent. The animation team at the Fiesta is excellent with Momo being exceptional, real nice friendly guy who remembered us right away when he seen us. The entertainment is in the main the usual Spanish hotel type, however there is one exception, if you are there and have the chance to see Johnny Circus, do NOT miss it. This was second time we seen him and he is so funny, A Charlei Chaplin act who works the crowd for about an hour before his show is even due to start. You tube him to see him. Good selection of drinks at the all inclusive and they seem to do what it says on the tin. The other highlight for us at this hotel is that when the entertainment finishes, they run a disco for the final hour, 11 till 12 and that lets you get a wee jig in before heading off to bed. We have been at the 5 star Bahia Principe across the road from here and it tends to die a death at 11 leaving you feeling deflated at the end of the night, so probably truth be told my wife and i have enjoyed our holiday here more than at Bahia. We will no doubt go back to this resort next January and although our booking will likely be made for the Fiesta hotel, we will look to spend our time at the Oasis pool and our nights in the Fiesta. Give it a go, it is a budget hotel and well worth a look.
