Stayed at the Altamira over xmas 2010, absolutely beautiful location, the apartment we stayed in had been refurbished and had everything you would need, pool never over crowded, you have the best of both worlds, peaceful location a walk or short taxi ride and you can have lots of nightlife, couldnt have been better.

My boyfriend and I travelled to the Altamira in August 2008. The hotel is situated in a quieter part of the area but all attractions are easily accessible. We enjoy a night out in the busier Las Americas which was a short taxi ride away.

The hotel itself is basic but fantastic- everything you need for a great holiday base! We had one problem with small ants on the wall but once reported to the desk they provided some spray which removed them straight away.

The pool is fantastic and doesn't get over-crowded!
There was no entertainment in the hotel but there are plenty of bars a short walk along the beach which is on the door step of the hotel.

There are local amenities across the road which supply all holiday needs at more then reasonable prices.

I would definitely return to the Altamira :-)

This is a lovely place in a lovely location. Our studio apartments were just the ticket. There are loads of great restaurants close by. It's a lovely walk up towards the more busy areas. Oh, the swimming pool is fab too.

Just returned from staying at the Aparthotel Altamira, Costa Adeje, Tenerife. A hidden gem to eat at we found was OC's bar opposite the hotel at the end of a small retail block of shops. It is a small but well run family business catering mainly for British tastes. The full english breakfasts for example are consistently very very good. We tried a traditional Sunday roast to die for one day and the curry out of this world.
Full marks to Kevin, Janette and Cat for providing exceptional service and food at a very reasonable price. Cant wait to go back!!
